Diemme Filtration takes another step into the future

A symbolic ceremony was held today, in the presence of local authorities, to greet the start of the ambitious project to expand the production facilities of Diemme Filtration (part of the multinational Aqseptence Group), a Lugo-based company that is a leader in solid-liquid separation technology, particularly through the development and manufacture of large, high-performance filter presses.

Lugo Mayor Davide Ranalli with Councillor for Productive Activities Luciano Tarozzi and Chief of Staff Gabriele Montanari, accompanied by Diemme Filtration Plant Manager Andrea Giampaolo and a company representative, visited the construction site on which the new production plant will be built, which will enable the Lugo-based company to multiply its current production capacity and cope with numerous challenging filtration projects already in the pipeline.

Planning for the new plant, which in size, technology and environmental standards represents the state of the art in the industry, took about a year. Last January, construction began and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2023.

I would like to thank Mayor Ranalli, the council and the municipal technicians who helped us throughout the authorization process,” comments Andrea Giampaolo, Plant Manager of Diemme Filtration. “Despite the complexity of the project, also from the urban planning point of view, we managed to start in record time. For Diemme Filtration, this is an important leap forward: the ambition is to create a modern, sustainability-oriented factory that, nonetheless, will require a substantial hiring plan; as early as 2023 it will be in double digits.”

For Mayor Ranalli: “It is an important result that we got to through collaboration and it shows that when the goals coincide the result is achieved. As an Administration, we are very pleased with this path and to have effectively stood by one of the most excellent companies we have in Lugo.”
