We Build Responsibility

Do you remember our donation raised by the Benefit Virtual Run? Well, here is the result!

We supported Green Forests Work’s efforts to restore native shortleaf pine-upland oak forests on two former coal surface mines in eastern Kentucky.

A diverse mix of native tree seedlings was planted by volunteers and professional planters. Primary school children and the local community were involved in the plantings, so that they could learn about the importance of forests to society, the benefits of native species and how to properly plant seedlings.
